What time does the show start?
Doors at 7.30pm, show starts promptly at 8pm. Late admittance will be permitted up to 10 minutes after the show has started, at the nearest interval or at the hosts discretion. Punctuality is greatly appreciated.
What can I expect?
The impossible! It is a magic inspired cabaret after all. On a serious note, this is a sophisticated night of high-end magical entertainment complete with a special guest act. Think cocktails, magic, audience participation, lots of laughs and showstopping blow-your-socks-off magic.
How long is the show?
The whole evening will be around 2-3 hours in length. The show is split into 3 acts allowing plenty of opportunities for toilet breaks, drink refills and cigarettes.
Is there age restrictions?
Although not strictly an age restriction due to the content of the show, the event takes place in a bar licensed premises so there are no under 18’s are permitted.
Is there a bar / interval?
The show is split into 3 acts allowing plenty of opportunities for comfort breaks. The Vanishing Cabaret is hosted by Bar 1837, the secret speakeasy of Alston Bar & Beef so the bar will be well stocked.
Is there wheelchair access?
Yes. There is an electric lift, that is available use by those who require it. PLEASE NOTE: Smoke, special effects, flashing lights, strobe and loud noises are used in the show and may not be suitable for those with conditions that may be affected by these effects.
Are there ticket offers?
Yes! Buy tickets in pairs and save £5 per ticket! (Maximum £50 saving). You can also sign up to our mailing list and be the first to receive special offers, new show announcements and seasonal spectaculars!
Can I pre-order drinks?
Absolutely, and we encourage you to do so. The bar will be busy and so we can suggest using out pre-order VIP drinks service available at checkout.
Is seating reserved?
As this is an intimate venue, with only 50 seats, every seat is a great seat. On the night you will be show to a table by a member of our team. Should you order drinks through our VIP drinks service your drinks are waiting for you on arrival.
How do I get a ticket?
Tickets are available exclusively through www.vanishingcabaret.co.uk/tickets/ .
How do I receive my ticket?
There are no physical tickets for the Vanishing Cabaret however you will receive email confirmation of your order. This will be required to enter the venue where you will be checked off our guest list. Please have your order confirmation ready on your phone on arrival. There’s no need to print your email.

Can we get food at the venue?
Yes! Alston Bar & Beef serves some of the finest dishes in Manchester and has offers running for those dining pre-7pm making it an ideal pre-show dinner spot. There’s also a number of other spots in the immediate vicinity of the venue.
